Part 3 – Anuradha Agarwal, MultiBhashi

Anuradha Agarwal is the Founder of MultiBhashi, a language-learning app that caters to the needs of language learners worldwide. What started as a small network of women wanting to learn English grew into a huge platform of people around the globe who wish to learn a language.

Here are some lessons that we learned from her:

  1. Find your passion

Anuradha Agarwal was born and raised in Jaipur, India. She defied expectations and pursued her dreams of studying and working, even when it wasn’t the norm for women. She was lucky to marry into a supportive family, and her husband encouraged her to follow her passions.

After the birth of her second child, Anuradha discovered her passion: language learning. She realized that there was a need for a more effective and affordable way for people to learn new languages. In 2011, she founded MultiBhashi, a language-learning app that has helped millions of people around the world.

MultiBhashi is a success story, but it didn’t happen overnight. Anuradha faced many challenges along the way, but she never gave up on her dream. She is an inspiration to women everywhere, and her story shows that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.

  1. Is your business idea a solution to an existing problem?

Anuradha Agarwal saw a problem and created a solution that changed lives.

When Anuradha Agarwal saw that women in Jaipur wanted to build their careers but didn’t have the English skills they needed, she knew she had to do something. She tried to help them by recommending language-learning apps and websites, but the content was too extensive and difficult to learn.

Anuradha realized that there was a need for a more accessible and quicker way to learn English. So, she founded MultiBhashi, a language learning app that makes it easy for anyone to learn English, regardless of their background or level of experience.

MultiBhashi has been a huge success, and it has helped millions of people around the world learn English. It is a testament to Anuradha’s vision and her commitment to helping others.

  1. Broaden your horizons

Anuradha Agarwal saw a need and filled it.

When she started MultiBhashi, she wanted to help women in Jaipur learn English. But as requests for other languages poured in, she took up the challenge and expanded MultiBhashi’s horizons.

MultiBhashi started as a mailing list for a group of women, then grew into a WhatsApp community, a Facebook page, a YouTube channel, a website, and finally an app.

Today, MultiBhashi is used by millions of people around the world to learn new languages.

Anuradha’s vision and commitment to making language learning accessible to everyone have made MultiBhashi a success.

  1. Experimenting and Risk Taking

MultiBhashi was on a roll, and Anuradha knew it was time to take the next step. She wanted to introduce MultiBhashi to the world of UI/UX, but it was a risk. She could have easily stayed the course and continued to grow her business as it was. But Anuradha is a risk-taker, and she knew that if she wanted MultiBhashi to succeed in the long run, she had to take some chances.

So, Anuradha developed a website and an app for MultiBhashi. She launched them quickly and made changes as she went along. It was a gamble, but it paid off. MultiBhashi’s new platforms were a hit, and the business grew even more.

Anuradha’s story is a reminder that taking risks is essential for business success. If you’re not willing to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things, you’ll never reach your full potential. So go out there and take some risks! You might just surprise yourself with what you can achieve.

  1. Cater to your users

Anuradha founded MultiBhashi in response to requests from her first consumers. She quickly realized that people wanted to learn more languages, so she expanded MultiBhashi’s offerings. She was also quick to act on feedback, making changes to the Facebook page and hiring developers to create a website and app.

She has always put her consumers first. She tailors the content and language lessons to their needs and learning processes. This commitment to customer satisfaction has made MultiBhashi a success and is a brilliant takeaway for all business owners out in the world!
