Decoding Draupadi hires young, ambitious students and graduates who want to work on content, community and campaigns for urban working women in India. We also welcome women further along in their careers who'd like to back what we do as advisors or supporters.

Who we hire

We're a small team, so most roles cover more than one job. In a single week the work might be researching a story, editing a podcast episode, running a community event, writing for the newsletter or helping a brand plan a campaign. We look for people who are curious about how women in India live and work, who write clearly, and who like getting things done.

What working here is like

Decoding Draupadi started in 2022 at C4E, a creative collective in Mumbai that still backs us. From day one we've followed one rule: ready, fire, aim. How to apply

Write to ak@c4e.in with a few lines about yourself, links to work you're proud of (writing, design, video, events, anything that shows how you think), and what you'd like to build with us. There's no fixed hiring calendar, and we read every email.

Advisors and supporters

If you're further along in your career and want to help, we'd like to hear from you. Advisors help us think through problems in their area of expertise. Supporters open doors, make introductions or back a project. Email us and tell us how you'd like to help.

Not looking for a job? You can still volunteer with Decoding Draupadi by writing with us, sharing your story or connecting us with someone, or work with us as a brand.
