Terms of use
Last updated 28 October 2026
These are the rules for using decodingdraupadi.com. They are short on purpose. If something isn't clear, write to ak@c4e.in.
1. About these terms
decodingdraupadi.com is run by Decoding Draupadi, a C4E initiative ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which explains what we do with your data.
2. Using the site
You're welcome to read, share and link to anything here. Please don't:
- try to break, overload or get around the site's security,
- send spam or automated entries through our forms,
- pretend to be someone else, or give someone else's details as your own.
3. Our content
The writing, photos, illustrations and videos on this site belong to Decoding Draupadi or to the people who made them. Share links freely, and quote short parts with credit and a link back. Ask us before you republish a full piece or reuse an image.
The stories of the women we feature are theirs. Please don't use their names, photos or words to sell anything.
5. The open letter
A person reads every entry to the Dear Brands open letter before it appears. We show your name only if you ask us to, and your words only if you agree and we approve them. We don't publish entries that break the comment rules above, and we can hide an entry later. You can ask us to remove yours at any time.
6. The community
Draupadi at Work is free to join. We review every application and can decline one. Inside the community, treat other members with respect, keep what they share in the group private, and don't sell to them without being invited to. We can remove anyone who doesn't, and the comment rules above apply in the groups too.
7. The shop
When the shop opens, each product's price, delivery time and return or refund terms will be on its page and at checkout, and those terms will apply to your order. Payments are handled by a payment provider. We never see your card details.
8. Not professional advice
What we publish about careers, money, work and law is general information and personal experience. It isn't financial, legal or medical advice. Check with a qualified professional before making a decision that depends on it.
9. Limits of liability
We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of mistakes. We link to other websites we don't control and aren't responsible for them. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect loss that comes from using the site.
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. Questions go to ak@c4e.in.
4. Comments
Comments appear as soon as you post them. Keep them kind and on topic. We hide or remove comments that:
You are responsible for what you write. By posting, you let us show your name and comment on the site. We can remove any comment without notice. To have one of yours taken down, write to us.
