The conversations we look for

Original perspectives over impressive titles.

We talk to women working across leadership, business, careers, money, health, relationships, culture and identity. What we look for is a point of view: something you've seen, built, changed your mind about or learnt the hard way, that a listener can take into her own work and life.

Two ways to join the conversation

Editorial or sponsored. Both start with a good story.

Editorial conversations

Guests we choose independently, because their story or expertise fits what our listeners want to hear. There is no fee for an editorial conversation, and we can't accept every pitch.

Sponsored conversations

We also work with founders, experts and organisations on sponsored podcast conversations. These may include a professionally produced episode, short-form content and promotion across agreed Decoding Draupadi channels.

Sponsored collaborations involve a fee, based on the scope of production, content deliverables and distribution.

Tell us what you have in mind, and we'll share a proposal if there's a fit.

Not sure which fits? Send your enquiry and we'll suggest the right route.

The sponsored feature

A produced conversation, scoped to your goals.

Each sponsored feature is built from the components below and set out in a written proposal: the scope, the deliverables, the timeline and the fee.

Sponsorship covers production and distribution. Editorial judgement, including the questions and the final cut, stays with Decoding Draupadi.

  1. 01

    Editorial direction

A pre-production call to agree the angle, the themes and what the conversation should leave listeners with. The questions remain ours.

  2. 02

    The recording

A long-form conversation with host Anshika Kushwaha, recorded remotely on Riverside.fm in audio and video.

  3. 03

    Post-production

A complete edit of the full episode, with sound, titles and thumbnail, delivered ready to publish.

  4. 04

    Short-form cuts

Vertical edits of the strongest moments, made for social feeds. The number of cuts is set in your proposal.

  5. 05

    Distribution

Publication on the Decoding Draupadi YouTube channel and Spotify, with promotion on the channels agreed in your proposal.

  6. 06

    Usage rights

Permission to share the delivered clips on your own channels, disclosed as a sponsored conversation.

Guest enquiry

Pitch a conversation.

Tell us who you'd like on the podcast and why. A person reads every enquiry.

Sending this form isn't a booking. If there's a fit, we'll get back to you with next steps for an editorial conversation, or a proposal for a sponsored one.

Who are you pitching?

What would the conversation be about?

Our listeners are urban working women in India. What would they take away?

A launch, a timeline, what you'd like the episode to do.

We'll use this to review your enquiry and reply to you. See our privacy policy.

Questions guests ask

Is there a fee to be on the Decoding Draupadi Podcast?

Not for editorial conversations. If we invite you, or select your pitch for editorial reasons, there is no fee. Sponsored conversations are paid collaborations, and the fee depends on the scope of production, content and distribution.

How much does a sponsored conversation cost?

It depends on what's included: the episode, the number of clips, where it's published and any promotion. Once we've reviewed your enquiry, we send a proposal with the scope and the fee.

Can a sponsored feature be shaped around my budget?

Yes. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll discuss the deliverables that make sense for it.

How do you choose guests?

We look for women with an original perspective and something useful to say to our listeners, who are urban working women in India. A strong story matters more than a job title. We can't accept every pitch, sponsored ones included.

Does a sponsored conversation mean I approve the questions?

No. A sponsored collaboration pays for a defined production and distribution service. It doesn't buy positive coverage, approval of questions or editorial conclusions, and we tell listeners when a conversation is sponsored.

How is the episode recorded?

Online, on Riverside.fm, in audio and video. Conversations run for about 90 minutes.

Will I get clips I can share?

Sponsored features can include edited short-form clips that you can share on your own channels. How many is part of the agreed scope.

Where are episodes published?

On YouTube, with audio on Spotify, and across Decoding Draupadi's channels. You can watch every episode on our podcast page.

Can I pitch someone else, as their team or PR agency?

Yes. Pick who you're pitching in the form, tell us who the guest is and why their story fits.

What happens after I send the form?

You get a confirmation email with your enquiry reference. We read every enquiry and reply if there's a fit, with an invitation for an editorial conversation or a proposal for a sponsored one. Sending the form doesn't book a recording.
